my working day...

a little sad.. not been contacted by the company for my dream job, in that dream company. But.. nvm lah.. life goes on.. since the job opened up on the 22 Mar, it figures that the deadline is the 22Apr.. today's the 28th.. if I had made it into the shortlist, I would imagine I would already have received a call.

Of course, one should be realistic too, maybe for an organization of that scale, it would take a longer time for the HR dept to run through, sort and file.. you nv know.. and so, I am not feeling totally hopeless, but as each day passes, it fades a little everyday... so I guess about a month after.. I can officially label it as hopeless.

On the other hand, the job is still being posted up.. so mebbe it's just a case that no suitable candidate has stepped forward yet, which would include yours truly...

Ahh.. I am just being a little morbid today... >.<>

0830-1000: Operational Issue: Job was to put out fire... to call US, yes, I unfortunately have to be the bad guy and call my vendors on their Sunday...

1000-1230: Steering Comm: Job was to update and submit a paper.. paper approved. :), and boss whispered a lot of action plans during this long meeting, all of which I have to follow up on, and worked on some grids during areas of meeting not concerning me. Unfortunately, no wireless access in the room, so can't check mail.

1230-1245: Squeeze in time to quickly update and get signature from mgmt for another paper submission, before said mgmt ran off... + walk back to desk.. and take pee-break

1300-1400: Makan time

1400-1430: Speak to colleague abt audit, answering queries and submitting more documents

1430-1500: Answer some emails + continue plans, aka, stress the vendor, to monitor the operational fire that is still ongoing

1500-1600: Brainstorming session for upcoming Brainstorm session my dept's hosting.

1600-1645: Review with my boss and boss's boss on selection, which thankfully I had prepared last Sat when I went back to work

1700-1800: Went to rack as media was finally loaded to check on the "fire" that has been buring since morning. Got the go ahead to proceed and to replace "spoilt" area when replacement file is in.

1800-1830: Continue brainstorming in the car while getting a lift to the mrt...

And that.. ladies and gentlemen... was my Monday. Methinks, my chair felt v neglected today.
And.. Mondays are supposed to be slack, cuz my vendors are mostly US based and work really starts on Tuesday.. MUAHAHAHAHA... different type.. tmr only have 1 meeting slated.. and that's with my boss's boss's boss... good luck, and of course, tmr will be desk bound clearing stuff.. =)
