Mixed Feelings...

Coming back from a high of my holiday trip to Nepal... to then saunter off to sunny Bintan as I had balloted and suceeded in getting the company chalet at Nirwana Resorts with my family... Doubly High... to receive news that one of our colleagues had an accident at the sunny island resort... and was fighting for his life in ICU...

Was glad to receive the new year in the comforts of home, and to have the companionship of Synco who dropped by for a chat and catch up session... only to find out this morning that my colleague has left us.

Really mixed feelings... it's more about what we value and look at life. I mean, I was in Nepal where the standard of living was pretty low... and I feel blessed that my karma was good enough that I was born into a good and safe environment, with close-knitted family and great friends. All these are accumulation of good karma from my previous life. Of course, I have to continue to do good and accumulate good karma...

But my heart is both full of hope for 2010... and yet, it's a little depressed at how everyone's life is following different tracks, and that it may have been a terribly bad start, in the case of my colleague's family... only son.. and breadwinner. It's tough...

Ah well... life goes on... and I choose to remain positive...
