Synopsis:
Robin Hood chronicles the life of an expert archer, previously interested only in selfpreservation, from his service in King Richards army against the French. Upon Richard's death, Robin travels to Nottingham, a town suffering from the corruption of a despotic sheriff and crippling taxation, where he falls for the spirited widow Lady Marion, a woman skeptical of the identity and motivations of this crusader from the forest. Hoping to earn the hand of Maid Marion and salvage the village, Robin assembles a gang whose lethal mercenary skills are matched only by its appetite for life. Together, they begin preying on the indulgent upper class to correct injustices under the sheriff.

Review:
Went into the movie not knowing what to expect, except my youngest brother's comment of "It's not as good as gladiator ah, Iron Man 2 was probably slightly better"... on that note, and not having read the synopsis... I went into the movie.

Emerging out... and reading the synopsis.. I realize... it's a shitty synopsis. What is written on top, is crap. The movie focuses on Robin Longstride, the man Robin Hood was, before he became Robin Hood the outlaw.
This movie is good, it was well filmed, I enjoyed watching it. What it lacked, as correctly pointed out by my sibling was, the lack of a climatic ending. The final battle... was... "like that ah?", I expected more blood, more sweat, more tears, more emotions! Heck, it didn't even have a zoom in on Friar Tuck or Little John fighting... the french was too busy falling down like bees...
And for that lack of a proper war scene, a proper fight... it has dropped from a potential 4 to a 3.5 stars. It is an extremely well made film though, don't get me wrong. Definitely worth a watch. :)

I share the same sentiment, it was a decent movie, but it wasn't nearly Robin Hoodish enough for me to call it Robin Hood.
