Review:
Woah, I am in a romantic comedy overdrive in terms of my movie selections, or rather, my friend's movie selections. What? This is what us girls accompany each other for right?

Anyway, as a normal hormonal sucker for romantic comedies, this is a pretty good one. Not the best, but definitely funny and a very relaxing movie to watch. There are various scenes which I found hilarious, but for some reason, only my 2 friends and I were laughing out damn loud. The rest of the audience were fairly silent.

The chemistry was pretty alright, not super intense, but alright. And I like that there is a real-world creative element to it, in that, Justin's role is a creative director, who is not gay (I assume they are playing with stereotypes as the sports editor is the gay instead).

I actually preferred my earlier rom-com, which is "Crazy Stupid Love", in that I found that a little funnier. But this movie is sufficiently good that it stands by itself. Good DVD rent, not so sure if it would be better at the cinemas, not quite the big scale type of movie.

I was thinking on checking out this one, as I already saw the one with Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal, the one with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher (I believe) and those were awesome. In the first one, the whole topic was a bit like "Sweet November" (Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron), and really got to me. The other one also got to me because it was so well mastered around work and how to adjust a life built but by yourself instead of the usual expectations of "giving it all up for love".

Have you seen those?

I was told this one isn't all that good, but after reading you I guess it worths a try.

Oh, "Love and Other Drugs" and "No Strings Attached"... No.. haven't watched either.. was thinking I will wait for the release on cable... but yeah, the same type of movie.

Since I cannot comment on these two movies, I can only say, "Friends with Benefits" would be a really light take. There is no "message" within... just a light, feel-good rom-com.. :D

Yep, those two! Oh, I strongly recommend you those two! Both of them carry a message, and end up being not what you expected. :-)
