Synopsis:
Balthazar Blake (NICOLAS CAGE) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (ALFRED MOLINA). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (JAY BARUCHEL), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protege. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE.

Review:
It was a good and entertaining movie. Great soundtrack... especially the song by One Republic - Sorry. :)

The nerd was well, nerdy, and the beauty, still somewhat believable as the beauty who falls for the nerd. Least she was not of the cheerleader calibre.

The magic was interesting.. the dragon was beautiful.. and acting was not bad lah. On the whole, it is what I would call a "not bad" movie. So it's watchable and it's a good relaxing movie. Plus, it's funny! Really.. there are some funny LOL moments. Go catch it if you can, but no real harm if you miss it.
